The end of the school year is upon us and Teacher Gifts are a common email topic among many parents of school-age kids. I am lucky that both of my kids’ classes have a tradition of parents making photo books for the teachers to capture all of the wonderful memories from the past year. Parents are also able to order their own copies. I am also lucky that many parents have contributed their time and talent to create these books for the teachers and parents to enjoy over the years.
Making a photo book for your child’s school is definitely a labor of love. This year, it is my turn to tackle this job, and I am thankful for all of the photos shared with me by the parents. Now that I’ve collected the photos (3,000+, gulp) and am ready to begin the real work, I plan to keep looking at this stack of books from past years as motivation…
I share this image as a source of inspiration as well as a sign of gratitude for all those before me that worked hard to preserve these school year stories. There are a lot of memories crammed into these pages. I can’t think of a more meaningful and personalized gift for teachers who invest their all into our children all year long than to reflect their hard work back in the images on these pages. Well, cash is always nice too.
