Have you been meaning to create an annual photo yearbook for your family but just haven’t gotten around to it? Why not give yourself a break and compile the highlights of the past few years into one single album?
I recently created such an album for a client who wanted to capture the highlights of their family through the years as a gift for grandparents. By developing a loose formula for each year, the completed book had a cohesive feel and represented a comprehensive look at the special moments and growth of their family.
Each year began with an intro page such as this…
and was followed by one page for each child capturing their personalities and individual interests. It is so fun to see how much they change – by the end of the book there was even a new little brother!
All of the birthdays were summed up in one layout per year – just enough to remind them of the different celebrations they planned and enjoyed for each special day.
We selected the “best of” to showcase holidays and special events.
The remainder of the book tells the story of their relationships…
vacations…
and many of the other magical moments that make up the fabric of our daily lives.
You might just feel a bit like this once you complete a book such as this one!
