Almost exactly two years ago I had the pleasure of attending a spectacular birthday celebration in Punta Mita, Mexico.  Of course, the guest of honor needed a photo book to commemorate this special weekend!

The cover is especially meaningful as I was able to capture a photo of the painting we commissioned as a birthday gift to our host.  The artist, Greg Kalamar, typically works on site at weddings or special events, painting the scene real time.  How cool is that?  In our case, he based his work on photos and direction we gave him that incorporated highlights of the weekend – think amazing friends, in a beautiful setting, with pink, lots of pink…

We started this 13×11 book with some reflections from the birthday girl and then launched into the weekend festivities.  The invitation and some detail shots set the stage for the event and were followed up by the who’s who on the guest list.

We told the rest of the story as the weekend unfolded, sharing the activities and little touches that made our time together so magical.

Alas, all good things must come to an end…

..but this beautiful keepsake will allow the birthday girl to relive the experience for years to come.
