Added a few new travel albums to the bookshelf last year and today I’m sharing a peek at what’s inside!
This book from our incredible Japan trip follows the format I established in my previous Travel Series books, making the design and completion relatively quick and easy.
I open each day of the trip with a favorite photo and share details of the day on the opposite page. The pages that follow tell the visual story of the day.
The food in Japan deserved it’s own book but I managed to sprinkle a few photos throughout that captured the amazing artistry proudly shared through their culinary experiences.
I mean, the cutest darn ice cream cones I ever did eat…
Speaking of cute, we went deep in the animal cafe culture as one does when traveling with a 14 year old girl…
Owls, hedgehogs and chinchillas are not part of my normal travel photography checklist, but capturing the spaces we choose to lay our heads at night definitely is…
And if the incredible food, rich history and culture, amazing hospitality and adorable animals weren’t enough to make me fall in love with this country, spending an entire day visiting different stationary stores definitely sealed the deal and was the perfect way to end our trip. If you only have time to visit one Japanese stationary store, I would recommend the well known Itoya, it did not disappoint.
If you need me, I’ll be cozied up by this fire dreaming about when I get to return to this magical place!

Looks like we have similar Japan-obsessions and you loved every single moment of being there! Your book makes me feel like I teleported back and now I’m picturing myself at many of these locations and reliving the memories.
And oh…Itoya…

Who do you use to print your photo books?
Suzanne says
Hi Michael, I use a variety of printers, but for this project I used Printique. Have a great day!

Which type of paper did you use at Printique? Looks fabulous! Thanks in advance!
Suzanne says
Hi Ashley, thanks for the kind words. I use the “Luster” paper from Printique.
