For the past 8 weeks I’ve been taking a great Black & White photography class taught by the talented Tracey Clark. I signed up for this class to develop a greater understanding of and appreciation for what makes a good black and white image. I love learning new things and this class definitely challenged me creatively to respond to the lesson prompts.
Throughout the course I’ve been slowly building a book to help me remember all of the techniques Tracey covered to capture monochromatic magic. I decided early on that I only wanted to submit images to the class gallery that were taken during this class (i.e. no pulling from the archives) in an effort to push myself to practice the techniques introduced. So in addition to acting as a lesson book, this photo book will be a nice reminder of some of the little life details around me during these last few months. Here is a look at the book as it stands today…
While I’m sad the class and the supportive community it fostered are over, I am excited to go to press and have a little something on my coffee table to remind me of this great experience.
