This morning I read this quote from acclaimed activist Howard Thurman and the following thoughts that accurately summed up how I feel this Thanksgiving…
“whatever may be the tensions and the stresses of a particular day, there is always lurking close at hand the trailing beauty of forgotten joy or unremembered peace.”
The Thanksgiving holiday is a time to pause, reflect, and appreciate the good in our community, our nation, and the world; while recognizing that we have a great distance to travel in order to overcome our challenges. There remains hope in our journey. Wishing you a hopeful day.
